      1/ @DrFunkySpoon Culturally, planet means “big, important thing orbiting sun.” & thus countable like continents, oceans, siblings.

      @kchangnyt Many feel there was a slight vindictiveness in adding, at last minute "dwarf p doesn't equal p". We already subdivide planets...

      @kchangnyt transitions between dwarf & non-dwarf status, as happens. Under this revised scheme doesn't suddenly become or cease being planet
