Bowersox: What I would say about the Apollo approach is that it was simpler. I wouldn't say it was necessarily safer. I think that our current approach has a lot of potential to be actually safer than Apollo even because of the flexibility & complexity

Im not giving him excuses but: He was trying to be original (and gaffed) when his variant joke was based on the have used the tried and true cliche “ I wouldn’t “give give you my firstborn”. My advise: Leave the jokes to better comics, Ken... just shoot straight.

I thought he was just going to say he wasn't going to bet his child's college tuition, but halfway through the sentence worried it might not be appropriate to be talking about $$$ wagers as a govt employee. Then I thought, poor kid, no birthday presents until 2024.
