The Earth's magnetic field does not cause dust storms on the moon. The lander is not designed to survive the freezing temperatures of the lunar night. If ISRO doesn't hear from it in the next week and a half, it will never hear from it.

There's a famous report frm NASA abt how the earth's magnetotail triggers duststorms on Moon. Thats separate discussun though. What abt China's Chang'e attempting to picture or locate Vikram? Since its at south pole too

Maybe. But the dust storms are generated on the far side of the moon during a full moon. https://go.nasa.gov/2NXBTCW Chang’e-4 is nearly 2,000 km away, the rover has a top speed of 0.2 km/hr. Plus, no highways on the moon.
