Question would be something like, Did the sensors give up, or did the engine fail? Was it the temperature that caused faults? Why and how, just above 2.1km, did the engine burst or fail? Is there communication data from the Orbiter, when can it send some reliable pictures?

There may also be questions like: Were the tolerances tight enough? Was the testing program robust? Should there have been more redundant systems? Those drive up cost. Sometimes it’s smart to take the riskier approach.

It was a 15 minute landing, taken up never before, so, we'll have to wait for the data. Right now, everything is a shot in the dark, speculation.

The Orbiter shall provide a better look into the situation with comm data and maybe pictures, soon. Let's hope for the best.
