We already have two unambiguous symbols. This one / and that one 
. I was taught that which way you did it depended on which symbol was used.
Did you mean to write 8 ——— 2(2+2) Or 8 — (2+2) 2 ? Both of these are unambiguous (except for the awkwardness of using ASCII to write fractions).
