A couple of scoops in here. NASA admin Bridenstine did talk to Trump about moon and Mars. And Bridenstine thinks NASA will need < $20B to get to the moon in 2024.https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/12/science/nasa-moon-apollo-artemis.html …

I will just like to know what has space exploration done for humanity? I mean with all the hungry homeless people out here while NASA spends insane amounts on rubbish projects.

GPS. Satellite television. The computer revolution. Basic understanding of the universe. All for about $50 per American per year. If that were enough $ to solve poverty, we would have solved poverty already.

I'm guessing 4.4 trillion could put a dent in poverty somewhere no?

I suggest that you read that sentence more carefully.

It's clear enough. Your words won't convince me and will never justify the insane amount nasa spends on bs when those funds could be allocated to a better purpose. The internet is full of information proving this.

I’m not trying to convince you of other than that NASA is a small slice of the U.S. budget. It’s $20B/year, which Is not nothing, but it comes to less than $70/American/year. (Yes, it’s gone up the last few years.) Other parts of federal spending are more “insane.”
