      Neither is NASA -- despite the fact that a return to the moon has been a wish by many. But when the agency pursues large missions, pessimistic reporting like this just panders to those who think NASA is a waste of government funding and hinders support of the science we do.

      The article is a pretty straightforward assessment about whether NASA astronauts will be walking at the south pole of the moon in 2024.

      Some of the people in Congress who have criticized it are the ones restoring money to the NASA science programs that the administration proposed cutting.
