The “business as usual” model for NASA is not working. It is good that @VP and @JimBridenstine are changing that so @NASA can get back to doing what it was created to do.

well, it's been less than 48 hours. but yeah, overall i'd bet on not much changing. but i'm not ready to rule it out.

I may have missed it, but did any member of Congress put out a "Yay, moon!" statement? It doesn't seem like a top-20 priority for anyone.

I don't recall any. Priorities were: SLS utility Stem funding Ground systems in Florida Stennis contracts SLS jobs Serrano was decent, I thought, in that he was the only one who kind of asked about the 2024 date and whether it was doable. (Sought to paint it as political).

When does Congress start working on the next NASA authorization? That'll show whether the moon in '24 idea has any traction. Esp. with Ted "You're not taking away my ISS, no, no, no" Cruz.

I doubt they do one for awhile, but that is just another way of saying I'm not sure. We'll know whether this idea has any traction if/when there are significant changes at HQ imo.
