The general response to the Trump administration's goal of landing humans on the Moon by 2024 has been a jaded shrug. Can't do it. All talk. No budget. NASA isn't capable. Terrible idea. This administration can't shoot straight. And maybe that's all true. But maybe it's not.
When does Congress start working on the next NASA authorization? That'll show whether the moon in '24 idea has any traction. Esp. with Ted "You're not taking away my ISS, no, no, no" Cruz.

I doubt they do one for awhile, but that is just another way of saying I'm not sure. We'll know whether this idea has any traction if/when there are significant changes at HQ imo.

Purge Gerst? What else would qualify as a "significant change"?
