Almost everyone thought Eugene Parker was wrong. He never doubted he was right. Now he has a NASA spacecraft named for him.https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/10/science/eugene-parker-solar-wind-nasa-probe.html …

With all due respect to Dr. Parker and NASA, this article is mistaken in that Sputnik 1 did not have any instruments to measure anything. It did measure and signal back to Earth its internal temperature and pressure as this was important for the first artificial sattelite

Sputnik 1 did not have any scientific instruments. The 2nd Sputnik did (and a dog, poor Laika).

The "fabric of space" and matter are created from the same stuff. The "solar wind" is a constant supply of "fabric" released by fusion. Protons could NOT make a flowing wind - they are like marbles and nothing would flow unless there were a solid pack - which it is NOT. #micfnes

Beautiful job on this amazing story about so much more than bright objects and hot winds. So much good can come from our investing in talent, teams, and the pursuit of truth. Like the NYT itself!

Loyalty to the land&state is not conditional & is not conditional on anything. The Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people so the State of Israel ! IF the State of Israel (God forbid) is a state of all its citizens satellites&terrorists&enemies then Israel will be destroyed!

Your answer to: Why does it need a big rocket? Was incorrect. The size of the rocket is to decelerate the probe from earths 30 km/s to allow her to fall into the sun
