Scholze is incredible. Sadly all The NY Times homepage said was none of the four winners were women. I am 100% in favor of better pay & opportunities for women in STEM but identity politics gets a little ridiculous sometimes - scholze did not win because he is a man.

It was in a blurb at the top of the NYT homepage with the link to your article (which thankfully was about the recipients and only mentioned gender in passing) - said something like "None of four mathematics Nobel-level prize winners are women". Some zealous editor, I guess.
