Is there a small housing provider commission? As a City of Seattle small landlord, it is really disconcerting the number of mom and pops being forced out of the market by current policies. Corporations will be eagerly filling the gap.

We had two duplexes that were part of our retirement planning. We sold them when the rules changed. 1st applicant and no criminal screening Put me at too much risk. I’m a 5’2 senior. One unit rented for 850 a month in Alki. It was Demolished. Homeowner Townhomes now.

I lived in a Seattle area housing project funded by government in the 50’s. It allowed my parents to become financially stable. Eventually become home owners. KC stopped buying and operating housing projects. The onus has been put on small landlords who can’t afford it.

Please consider adding some mom and pop landlords to this commission. We’re becoming an endangered species, and we’re the ones who offer affordable housing on a personal scale. We have zero representation

You need to include landlords on the commission and it should be a "Renting" commission, not a "Renters" commission. Policy proposals should not be lopsided & eliminate an obvious stakeholder.
