We will create community vaccination sites just like our high-volume testing sites, and we are looking at locating the first facilities in South King County, where we continue to see high rates of COVID and distressing health disparities. 2/3
We are not waiting for all the usual negotiations and contracts, but we expect to be reimbursed by the state and federal government if we are to continue our robust public health response. We are paying for these facilities out of the King County budget. 3/3

Are these sites going to be going 24 hours? I’d go at 3 am if It meant I could get the vaccine sooner. Let’s just get it done and not waste time

Washington is ranked 35th out of 50. Let’s go. Unacceptable that 70% of vaccines have not been administered. Get the shots in peoples arms now!
