Conventions were already cancwlling before the coronavirus because of all the tweakers, vagrants and crime. This seems like a misuse of funds.

Where was the private sector in this? If the private sector didn't think it was a good investment to put $100M into the already astronomical $1.9B convention center remodel, why does it make sense to use taxpayer money for this bailout?

Dow, you sir are either misinformed or lying to the people you represent!! I have been employed at the Washington State Convention Center for 10+ years. During my time there we have never had consistent events booked to even work full time hours and it wasn't due to space!!!!
