Importantly, this is not about individual bad actors. It's about a system that leaves open every day, every encounter, the possibility that deep seated biases are going to evidence themselves. And that is something we just all have to first accept, and second root out and fix.
You are correct that a robust system to mitigate police misconduct would push many individual bad actors to (and beyond) the margin and needs to be strengthened. But this is also about an individual's actions, which besides vaguely disparaging, you haven't taken action on.
Calling him out and holding those with the actual authority to take action is action considering he doesn't report to the executive office. The important part to me is his office taking action systematically. His ability specifically regarding Mike brown is limited I think.
Also, did you link the wrong interview? There doesn't appear to be any reference to Mike Brown, your close working relationship, his heinous posts, or how you are responding to them. Nothing about whether you knew about his far-right views before this week.
