This week, many of us again followed the directive to #StayHomeStayHealthy — but let's not forget the critical workers who have been clocking into work every day. I want to express gratitude to:

THANK YOU to healthcare workers and support staff. From the doctors and nurses who treat us to the folks who keep the hospitals sanitized and safe, we are so fortunate for your commitment.

THANK YOU to food service, grocery, custodial, and other workers who are making sure we're fed and that we're safe while picking up our necessary supplies.

THANK YOU to the dedicated, big-hearted folks staffing our shelters, food banks, and the new auxiliary centers. You are helping those experiencing homelessness stay safe during #COVID19 and that is so, so important.

THANK YOU to the veterinarians, pet store clerks, dog walkers, and shelter workers who are helping our furry friends during this difficult time. We see you and the work you do.

THANK YOU to delivery drivers, truckers, postal workers, and everyone else who has been ensuring that we have what we need. The mail is still coming. Packages are still arriving. That's because of you!

THANK YOU to educators, childcare workers, midwives, and others who are going out of their way to make sure families are supported. Online learning tools, phone calls in the middle of the night, and of course, keeping kids safe — you are offering assistance and peace of mind.

THANK YOU to the tech community — like @tableau — who have risen to the challenge of helping local governments provide data to the public. Transparency is critical right now and we couldn't do it without these partners.
