As a lifelong West Seattleite, I know how difficult it can be for the 80k or so of us on the peninsula when connections with the rest of the region are interrupted. We will do everything in our power to make sure West Seattle has strong transit alternatives during the repair.

For most of us this will be a challenge we can overcome. One thought, consideration for our critical workforce e.g., healthcare personal living in West Seattle. Can we make it easier for this population to get to work? We need them now more than ever.
We need to let essential healthcare workers who commute to downtown hospitals continue to use the lower bridge.

im from Arizona but when the freeway was packed and there was construction on the same day and it was football night. I left work at 5pm and got home at 8pm
