This is a good sentiment to hear. I hope evidence-based practices and good stewardship of public dollars will prompt a renewed look at the overly politicized consumption site hype -- please prioritize highly accessible treatment, prevention and support.
Instead of investing in what’s politically palatable and then pointing fingers when homelessness doesn’t go away, this new entity will prioritize being a good steward of public dollars & will spur investments in evidence-based best practices.

This is definitely a step in the right direction on a journey that I do hope makes the system more responsive and accountable to everyone. However, we are still in dire need for a more immediate big-tent FEMA style of response that will get our unsheltered neighbors inside now.
