Seattle with one more tower, but without the one and only Showbox, would be a Seattle diminished. Impoverished. We should not tolerate losing places like this. We will not.

I've never been there for a show. But I do respect and appreciate it's history. I am all for development and growth. But this is bad. Next ya just swallow up the whole Pike Place Market because of the land value gets too enticing to someone who pulls the plug.

There are few good live venues of the size of the 2 Showboxes-the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, The Hives, Janelle Monae ( before this year) they need an 800-bodies-sized venue. Affordable and part of the identity of Seattle. This is TERRIBLE!
