but i was watching a video that said the definition is when someone older develops a position of trust to a younger person, then uses that trust as leverage to turn the relationship romantic or sexual

am i wrong on what the definition of Grooming is? i thought it was like when an older person is pretending to be like a mentor to a kid and is like trying to teach them sex is cool/ok/normal for kids

I've worked hard to let go of my cringe feelings about the newer generation because I don't want to be put in a position where I hate young people for just enjoying the things that they like, just like all other generations have been manipulated into before me

those "i destroy my friend's phone/laptop and give them a new one" pranks don't make any sense to me... imagine thinking destroying someone's property is okay just because you got them a new one... there are plenty of important things probably on the device that might be lost

I think the word Essential in essential oil is unfortunate because I believe the word is referring to the Essence of the plant the oil comes from, thus Essen(ce-)tial but the pseudoscientific health schlock industry frames it as "essential as in necessary" to human life

when listening to people's arguments on stuff i constantly struggle with the thought of "im pretty sure that's not 100% correct but I don't know why" I wish I was more critical of the arguments i hear so i could understand when people aren't being fully upfront

I've heard the way to proper communication is to ask questions and reflect the answers back to the speaker. loaded questions are a bastardization of this technique where you ask a question designed to make the speaker look bad so that you can reflect what YOU want back at them

I just learned that contraceptives actually suppress the menstrual cycle as well, so they can prevent periods entirely... it costs around 30-70 dollars a month to be on a continual use contraceptive. it should cost 0 dollars a month to not have excruciating pain
