  1. This signals a delay and certainly a setback along with even higher demand for tests in pediatric settings. This will impact return to work as well given omicron plus likely cases in daycare settings and difficulty masking young children.

    1. I hope everyone is safe. 2. I have it on good authority that there were several mice fleeing the scene holding signs in protest of cruel management and unfair wages

This is even more disturbing due yo the fact that we have had vaccines that can prevent death for exactly one year. U.S. covid-19 death toll reaches 800,000 as omicron variant poses latest threat

Important legislation that passed - hopefully it will include efforts to discourage licensing boards from discrimination against physicians and other healthcare workers who seek help. Too many lurk in shadows for fear of losing credentials or licensure.

It is clear there are many reasons COVAX has failed to deliver but perhaps the first most important reason is that we still see global vaccine delivery as charity when it’s really a necessity.

You cannot fly into Los Angeles without registering your contact info and agreeing to abide by CDC Covid travel guidance. $500 fine for it being incomplete. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I expect all ages might need boosters eventually /FDA authorizes Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine booster shots for 16- and 17-year-olds amid omicron threat

    5. Bottom line : this is good news and we have likely just narrowly averted total chaos via omicron; how long will it take to heed the warning signals?

    4. Changing def of fully vaccinated might be contingent on full approval of a booster (bla vs eua) by fda but it shouldn’t of data such as today’s is consistent/ modernas half dose could be a problem - we might see better data with full 3rd dose

    3. But We now have more data regarding necessity of a booster dose and most countries are scrambling to get adequate supply for initial doses as well as boosters; we should concentrate like lasers on demographics that need boosters (40+ and high risk young adults for example)

1.80% epitope spike protein recognized by T cells NOT changed with omicron (also good) 2. We have seen neutralizing ab data reductions before with p1 and b 1359 but still saw vaccine protection/ lab data by press release is just that

Data from with encouraging numbers from 3 doses (booster)- lab sera with 25 fold increase of neutralizing antibodies after 3rd dose against omicron/ 2 doses likely to protect against severe disease- several caveats and implications:

Great job and with 21 women dying for every 100k births this is the crisis we should be ashamed to ignore.

Great credit to this team for quickly getting us Omicron lab neutralization data. The bright side is that there is incomplete immune escape from vaccination👍
