You are so right!!! Crib, stroller, car seat, changing pad. Done! Everyone will give you clothes whether you have a registry or not!

Or you can move to Finland - where every mother and new baby receives a box with the essentials!https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-22751415 …

Oh, we aren’t letting
@KatyTurNBC go to Finland!pic.twitter.com/HqPZ1bIGm2 -
I do really like those boxes. NJ does them. I think it’s super smart.

As a Nurse, I believe every parent needs to go home with a thermometer and receive instruction how to use it and when to call about fever.

@KatyTurNBC dont panic. Take it all in and enjoy every second. It is overwhelming but an experience you will always remember. Very happy for you and your family. -
Thank you, Fred. This is the most important reminder. It’s going to be amazing.

Here’s a tip: the number one baby accessory you need? A minivan. Take it for me. It’s a living room on wheels.
-
And it’s especially helpful when you can’t remember how to close the stroller. You can just put the whole thing in the back of the van and cry later! Not that it ever happened to me. Lol!
-
Haha!!! Yes. Throw it in the van and cry later is my Mommy Motto
-
Words to live by, especially in the beginning. I remember it took me three weeks to figure out how to use my beautiful fancy stroller and baby carrier that I researched for weeks. Lol! Now that baby is in college!
-
The best part is when you take the fancy stroller (neatly folded inside the minivan) on vacation and realize one of the wheels fell off in the garage as you were putting it back in the van after rearranging everything for the travel baby gear.

-
No!!!!! Not good at all!
-
I'm so glad we've outgrown that!
-
Me too!! Though it does seem to last forever doesn’t it? Then blink and your first kid is in college!!

Don't fall for the butt wipe warmers.

No need to involve Trump’s cabinet on this.

The most important thing a baby and a child (and an adult for that matter) needs i love and presence. Two things you can’t buy online or at a store. And which shopping often gets in the way of.
-
Please don’t forget sleep. A thing you can’t buy online or at a store. Not correlated to shopping though.
