Great analogy actually. Too many people nowadays think their vote is a tiny microphone for their personal feelings, instead of a sledgehammer for whats best for the family.

This idea of "being excited" about a candidate misses the mark. It's immature. I'm never "excited" about my dentist or plumber. Why should I? I want competence. Expertise. Rational behavior. No need to be "inspired". I just want stuff to work and be in concordance with the law.

I believe the last 3 1/2 years have been “exciting”enough. It’s ridiculous, with our country’s severe problems; race,climate change,employment, pandemic...to be looking for someone who “excites”us. Stability & Hard work are not always exciting

I can tell you this. I've spoken with dozens of active Democrats over the past few weeks. They see Biden ahead by 10 points and STILL think Donald Trump will win. They have major PTSD from 2016.
