The moderate left in the UK lost big yesterday. Half their seats including their leader. If this were about labour being too extreme, the lib dems would have picked up seats.

"Enthusiastic" young people really came out to vote Labour, but its downfall was the North & heartland. Those who voted there in legions don't have twitter accounts. Most of them (perhaps) still use Nokia 3310, But they came out, queued & persevered under the rain & voted Blue
