I wouldn't say it's a contrast with his opponents so much as I'd say that his opponents who currently serve in Congress know that there's no magic wand that is going to turn back the clock to a time when the GOP wanted to *govern*, rather than just garner power.

It makes me really sad that it has come to this. But it has been that way since Newt's Contract with America. Democrats have to understand that there is no governing unless we THOROUGHLY beat Republicans in every branch and every level of government.
