“Some politicians have a sixth sense for weakness,”
@RepSteveIsrael says. “Some can sense power. Joe Biden has a sixth sense for people who are struggling.” 4 years after Beau Biden's death, my look at how Joe Biden's personal tragedies connect on trail:https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/30/us/politics/joe-biden-beau-biden-death.html …5 Antworten 14 Retweets 44 Gefällt mirDiesen Thread anzeigen -
when Team Bloomberg did focus groups ahead of possible 2020 run, found “a surprisingly high level of awareness” of Biden’s bio, and of “some of the personal tragedies that he experienced in particular,” creating" sense of affinity and empathy" that has little to do w/politics

Biden, who just wrapped up speaking at a Memorial Day event in Delaware, referenced Beau, who was a veteran, as he also spoke more broadly about honoring troops' service. "Thank you for remembering," he tells the crowd. "God love ya."

certainly, bio alone unlikely to determine votes. Even some who have spoken w/Biden about their own grief aren't voting on that. Rep Israel's mom:"what he is as a human being may be part of it,but too much at stake for me to put my own personal little feelings into my decision.”
