Update: all of the scanners are now back up and running after some voters waited two hours to cast ballots. While they waited for scanners to return they filed emergency ballots, but that box filled up. When the scanners were finally fixed, there were cheers in the cafeteria

Your correct it a Dem stronghold, but the machines are owned, operated and maintained by corporations that usually lean and support Repubs. Coincidence!

At the very least, if a machine is used, we as voters should receive a printed receipt. In my voting location the machines used have an actual port for printing and dispensing a receipt, but we never get one. Why is that?
