I’m neither an anti vaxxer or science denier. Anti vaxxers don’t take vaccines. Science keeps changing. What I resent is the term “settled science”. That is absolute bull crap, and I refuse to be shamed anymore for asking questions.

Scientists themselves ask questions every day. You're not the only person who asks questions as a matter of course. It's helpful to also read and listen to the answers and partial answers that lead to more useful knowledge--more helpful than automatically disrespecting the CDC.

I’m so sorry if that sounded snippy. I don’t mean to be but I’m filled with rage today. My surgery is being out off because of Covid restrictions and I’m angry. I do t mean to take this out on you, and I got to thinking about the tone of my last tweet. I’m sorry.

It isn’t the CDC in general, it’s the whole Fauci administration, current rulers. Fauci has flip flopped so much and absolutely has lied about gain of funding research, so I can get irrationally angry.

No, Kathleen. He hasn't flip-flopped and he hasn't lied. He responds to more data, which is changing, as it does. He reports on a rapidly evolving disease and the changing conditions it causes. It helps no one to blame or scapegoat him for this.

I know people who know Fauci and have known him for many years. He's one of the people of greatest integrity any of them know. They trust him absolutely. And so do I therefore.

The people I know are science writers and journalists who have interviewed Fauci and traveled with him when their beats were about AIDS in San Franciso, Africa, and the world. They've known him that long and have no doubt that he knows the science as far as it has evolved.

If you personally know anybody who studies or reports on infectious diseases, virology, public health research and/or administration who distrusts Fauci, please convey their opinions. But I wouldn't trust Tucker Carlson or Rand Paul on the subject of Fauci.

Please forgive me for saying so, but I think you listen too willingly to people like Tucker Carlson and Rand Paul. I can't think why they act as they do, but whatever their reasons, they cause real harm. Rand Paul knowingly transmitted COVID at the beginning of the pandemic.

I haven’t watched his show, other than a few clips of when the NSA unmasked him.

It appears Tucker Carlson was unmasked because he was having conversations with the customary (Russian) folks that the NSA regularly pays attention to. Tucker Carlson wasn't the object of their attention. He just appeared to wander into their surveillance.
I hope you still don’t believe that two aluminum bodied planes, with fiberglass and aluminum noses, took down the twin towers, solid steel skeletons??
