incorporate some of the iconic scenes and stories from the anime. because they are working in a 10-episode framework, some of the stories lack intention, making them feel random and an overt nod to those who watched the anime that's unnecessary.
Some of the character stuff isn't earned b/c of this—the ending makes me particularly mad in this respect. i do worry they might have wasted the more profound moments from the anime in the name of recreating, and doing so without proper set up.
But, i want to just live on the Bebop forever, and that's because of Cho's Spike, Mustafa Shakir's Jet Black, and Daniella Pineda, who is an absolute knock out as Faye Valentine. the three of them make this cowboy space adventure worth it. great chemistry, good times all around.
