I'm a UW grad. Madison is one of the greatest cities in the United States. Alas State Street has needed to be cleaned up quite a few times over the decades.

Good to see. I’m disappointed though, that a very small group, less than 20, mostly white males, created a lot of the mayhem. Did you all see that hooded white boy with the hammer, smashing and setting a police car on fire? & those “audience” member voyeurs - WTF.
