I've been meaning to say some more stuff about this story. A few thoughts: (1) the blending of tech and government is accelerating, and it's worth having a conversation about the impact and what guardrails ought to be in place. (2) Cade is the absolute GOAT!!!
Good read. IMO what you don't want is a revolving door in/out. What you do want is technologists, out of the game & with F-you money, availing themselves like Schmidt has. It's like 1/100th the conflict.
