I get that employment is tenuous these days and PR people still need to do their jobs. but maybe part of the job is telling your client that doing this is a really really really bad idea?

yikes. i will say, *if* the client is asking the PR person to frame them as a "great wartime CEO," or pushing for any message along those lines, than perhaps the client can't really be reasoned with in the first place
