I feel like I should have lost all capacity for shock at this point, but using healthcare as a bargaining chip during a pandemic is shocking to me.

is this right? if i'm employed by uber, doordash, and lyft based on my workload, even if i work 40 hours, none of em are required to give me healthcare.

they are supposed to under AB 5, which passed last year, but they are fighting to overturn it.

I sat in meetings w/ Veena. I also met w/ GigWrkrsRising. If a drvr lines up w/ the objective of AB5, they "join" fast. They make drvrs "leadrs" very quickly. No convo abt expectations, responsibility, nothing. Drvrs who want notoriety "rise" but the messaging is controlled.
