are we technically in night twitter yet? because I have a story to tell you about getting a piece of potato stuck in my eye for ~12 hours

last night I grated a bunch of potato to make latkes. during the first grate, something flew into my eye. I went into immediate denial and was like, surely it was potato juice!

then I woke up this morning and my eye was all red. I told my partner, "I think I have potato stuck in my eye" and he laughed and told me that was not possible...

flash forward to this afternoon when I looked in the mirror and saw A PIECE OF POTATO floating around in my eye @darth

so I got it out and everything is fine now but I'm considering goggles for future latke-making
