This is such a tired and wrong take. NYT's story reports on the gender issues Ty faced at work. It's not a takedown — the board pushed her out, not the media. It's also wrong for a female executive to deflect all scrutiny of the way she treats her workers as 'sexist.'https://twitter.com/Jenn_RTR/status/1237880700507848706 …
This faux outrage happened with the Away story too, but we all saw the receipts! No boss should treat their employees like that, regardless of gender, and the behavior merits attention.
“Male founders aren’t scrutinized.” Tell that to Adam Neumann, Elon Musk, Travis Kalanick!
I guess the question is why there aren’t more about male bosses. I can guarantee there’s not a shortage of stories about bad male CEOs, receipts and all

Totally agree. It's interesting though, a lot of female CEOs are the ones who get pushed out or resign (for good reason, if they're mistreating ppl). Do male CEOs leave or resign at that same rate? Maybe they do for the most explicit sexual harassment, but not for subtler stuff.
Totally agree. I know there's crushing gender bias/sexism in the world but using gender as a cover for egregious behavior just hurts all the good work & energy of people who are actually trying to end negative effects of such bias.
