This faux outrage happened with the Away story too, but we all saw the receipts! No boss should treat their employees like that, regardless of gender, and the behavior merits attention.

This is such a tired and wrong take. NYT's story reports on the gender issues Ty faced at work. It's not a takedown — the board pushed her out, not the media. Wow, yeah. I didn't read the NYT story this way at all. It was pretty damn balanced. Also, being a CEO is f'ing hard. What Haney accomplished at her age is remarkable no matter what ended up transpiring.

Those are bad examples, they were allowed lose significantly more money then Ty, billions in fact. You'll be hard press to find a similar story where a female founder is allowed to lose billions of dollars, and then leave with at least a billion dollars.
