The Catholic Bishops lived in the halls of Congress as we approached the ACA vote, and convinced Rep. Bart Stupak that the Hyde Amendment wasn’t enough- that there needed to be specific language in the ACA blocking federal funds for abortion. It almost sunk the ACA.
