    Wow! In Nepal, we only see dry beds mining (even in and around forests) hijacked by politically protected and unregulated mining companies, crawling with trucks, excavators. But this seems as its supposed to be! 🐘 🌳

    Dallas to Nepal: ~$1Million in transactions in 10 months by organized online gambling group in Nepal, apparently hired as outsource staff by Nepali in Texas who runs the op. Am told Nepalis are heavily engaged in this in the Dallas area.

    André Leon Talley was a true fashion icon. He died yesterday. Of all the photos I took of him over the years at New York Fashion Week, this, outside ’s show, is my favorite (Feb. 2010).

    Flu med shelves looking bare in Summerlin, Las Vegas, pharmacies. “People have been just coming and buying what they can,” staff told me in one of the CVS. Tough luck finding Covid test kits! Free Covid test appointments not avail for days, or cost ~$200!

    150,962 tourists visit Nepal in 2021 amid pandemic. Indian tourists constituted the highest number at 64,673. Americans 2nd: 22,853 British 3rd: 8,680 Chinese 4th: 6,196 Bangladeshi 5th: 5,044 Numbers a major blow to Nepal’s economics.

    19 🦏die at Chitwan National Park in the past 6 months. 2 reported to be poaching. Deaths by flood now becoming regular as intensities & frequencies of (upstream) landslides & floods increasing in Nepal due to & overall corrupt land abuse.

    SHOULD NEVADA DO THE SAME THING? The law, which will go into effect at the beginning of 2022, requires grocery stores and other food suppliers to donate all edible food waste to a food rescue organization or food bank.
