Here in Texas, they made me take a Texas history course (do other states do this? Nebraska history? Ohio history?) In grade school and I don't recall them mentioning Juneteenth once. Not in any other class for that matter, even during US history civil war units.

Colorado and Minnesota both have state history requirements, or did when I was a student.
