I accompanied my husband on his work commute today and am happy to report he does not sit down on the subway because “there are always women standing and I don’t get men who sit while they stand.” I marry good.

My brother doesn’t sit on the subway either, just looked up that I tweeted about that a decade ago. Good men all around.https://twitter.com/karol/status/3386162390?s=21 …

@kenwheaton I admit that's the least likely one. @ronnienyc hates taking subway because will never sit while a woman stands., so never sits

I only sit when I need to, which is only if I'm carrying too much to reliably stand while holding. Otherwise, I always stand because there are people who need to sit far more than me. Usually it's older people, but when I'm older I'm sure I'd really appreciate if I had a seat.

Always stand if it is crowded. Even if it's for an older gentleman. I don't get why we've lost basic decency today.

I will sit sometimes just to stand and give to a woman or elderly gentleman

I and other men would get up in crowded conference rooms whenever a woman didn't have a seat. One of them said "I love the South".

you should shove women out of chairs while shouting "down with the patriarchy!" women will appreciate the solidarity.
