On March 30, 1877, the Frank Jones was being towed out the Golden Gate when a tow line broke. Gale force winds pushed the Frank Jones ashore near Fort Point. Rescue attempts failed and it took on water and was finally abandoned. #sfhistory #OnThisDay opensfhistory.org/Display/wnp26.

Stopped on Upper Market this afternoon, a cluster of people-less Jaguars. One had its windshield wiper going (on a beautiful sunny day). One stopped in the number 2 northbound lane. A couple minutes later, apparently bored with blocking traffic, they drove off.
