Everytime were out & a stranger compliments on how big & beautiful her eyes are, I have a mental debate on whether or not I should mention her defect. I decide no, smile & say thank you. I’m always left with a weird feeling. I just pray she’ll always know how beautiful she is.

I get so nervous thinking about her starting school. What if other kids are mean about her eyes & she gets made fun of? What if she starts to hate her unique gorgeous eyes? It makes me want to cry thinking about it because she’s so strong & sweet & been through so much already 😔

Thought you guys might enjoy seeing some pics of Mehlani in her sunglasses, she’s super sensitive to light so she wears these anytime we go outside & I think they’re the cutest!!

I think what we consider a defect maybe something more intimate and unique to God! That baby is gorgeous and as a father myself I completely understand how scary it is cuz kids are mean!!!! Unfortunately we can’t protect our kids from everything but pray she’ll be fine!!!

You have absolutely nothing to worry about momma. She has big beautiful brown eyes. Don’t let her see you worry!! Fill her lil soul with so much confidence😭❤️❤️❤️❤️

She is an absolute doll! Do your absolute best to teach her of her worth and that different doesn’t mean bad. I tell my daughters that being unique gives something value. No different with people. If we were all the same, it would be boring and we wouldn’t know our true worth.
