    Scholarship/funding for undergraduate women with unpaid STEM summer 2019 internships. Spread the word! Both cis and trans women explicitly invited to apply, though language slightly outdated - “female or identifies as female.”

    This is at 1,000 RTs, 200k impressions. It definitely struck a nerve. How can we use this momentum to make science more accessible? Let’s work together to remove obstacles and gatekeepers. Let’s do more outreach & demonstrate that people of all types & origins can do science.

    The 2017 eclipse had a maximum duration of totality of two minutes and 40 seconds. The 2024 eclipse will have a maximum duration of *FOUR* minutes and 27 seconds in the U.S. Is it too early to get excited yet?

    I remember giving a talk and only the boys raised their hands and wanted to be Astronauts. I asked the girls why and they said that I said it was the Manned Space Program. That day my language changed and it became the Human Space Program. Language and TY🚀

    Why use a word which only applies in ‘many’ contexts when you could use one that applies in *all* contexts?!

    You people are making a mountain out of a mowhill. ‘Man’ is by defined, under many contexts, as ‘a human of either sex’.
