Honestly, so what if they want to keep wearing masks? It’s not hurting anyone and might be helpful and makes people feel better about themselves and protecting others. I was just enjoying not wearing a mask outside going to lunch with my wife & we walked next to an older women masked and she was immediately and obviously nervous we were not. So we put on our masks because IT WAS THE NICE THING TO DO & SHE FELT BETTER. Somehow liberty survived!pic.twitter.com/2bKPLyJdYK

Weird how being nice to other people feels so… HOW YOU SHOULD ACT.

In a civil society, at least. Not sure we are that anymore.

Kindness to neighbors is never a bad thing. Plus it’s been over a year since a random dude on the street has ordered me to smile.

Exactly! A perfectly civil & polite reaction. There's no way to know what another's experience has been. How hard is it to have a little grace? Hope you enjoyed your lunch out together.

I would do the same, but let's all agree that the time has come to wind this down. Those who want/need to be vaccinated can do so any day - for free. In a few weeks, I won't even HAVE my mask with me.

Except for those who literally cannot be vaccinated due to age, auto immune disease, severe allergies, etc

Yep. Walking around Brooklyn today and noticing more massless faces. Nice when it’s getting warmer! But people are considerate and mask up when approaching large crowds. Basic decency.
