I'm pretty glad that things are going badly for LinusTorvalds right now because the view that you don't have to be respectful as long as your right is one of the worst ideas in software and yet influences so many people's behaviour
He's stepping back from his role in the Linux foundation, which I guess I see as things going badly but it could be more neutral than that

I've only skim-read the news, but it looked like it was entirely his choice to do so. On the one hand, I think, I welcome the fact that Torvalds has started voluntarily taking this seriously. On the other hand, taking it seriously is apparently still voluntary.
