We all have different interests. Some people know everything there is to know about Astrophysics but couldn't tell you how to cook macaroni and cheese or who the main characters on Seinfeld were.

Never watched Seinfeld

Okay, whoah. I get that consumerism is negative especially to modern america's extent but ted was a fucking lunatic, and way too extreme with some of his views.

His argument forgets the idea of freedom by choice. America's lack of interest in nuanced, philosophical debate and discussion did not and never will justify his actions. Besides, modern hyper-consumerism and basic capitalism/free trade of resources are 2 different things.

Says the guy selling $400 sneakers?!
-
Where?
-
That was an exaggerated, made up number to make a point about how ridiculous it is for Ye to be trying lecture us about Bernays and Hyperconsumerism while selling overpriced sneakers

-
Prices were high so he could afford to make factories and warehousing, which would increase production rate and decrease cost per shoe allowing him to eventually lower the prices.
-
fair enough, although should also take into account human and corporate greed. I still believe 120$+tax is too much for the average person to spend on sneakers. We'll see how they're priced in a few years tho. I appreciate your input tho, thanks
