This is wild: the UC Pres commissioned a 228-page investigation by its Senate, which concluded that admissions could be improved BUT tests were important to the fairest possible process. UC then threw out the report and cut tests anyways. ht

Technically a pure lottery would have no bias... combine that with some sort of reality show format and I think I just found a new revenue stream for the UCs!

Presuming grades et al is OK, which is easy, they will use 2 factors: the ethnicity box (self identify) & last names. & since minorities have a euro surnames and anyone can self identify, that's who wins. Anyone with a European last name.
