Tips when you are managing outbreak wards... when you see a toilet- use it. When you see a water dispenser- drink water. More or less like when we were in residency (long... long... time back)!!!

PPE selection for non-clinical staff depends on(among others):Resource availability, staff training and familiarity with PPE(**KEY**),and risk assessment(facilities differ). NCID and TTSH, Singapore's tiered PPE guideline given below. Hope it's useful.

The key statement for both extended use and reuse is: “Discard N95 respirators following close contact with, or exit from, the care area of any patient co-infected with an infectious disease requiring contact precautions”

As the outbreak expands and the number of suspect cases increases, one of the many questions that will come IPC's way would be on extended use and reuse of respirators (N95 or FFP2/FFP3). See table below for various recommendations on respirators.
