    True story: Guy #1 stored some chairs in apt. bldg basement. Guy #2 takes them for his outdoor patio w/out asking, ignoring emails about the chairs from Guy #1, who then goes up to the roof with a line & hook and reels the chairs up several flights. Can't make this stuff up.

    When Mario Cuomo was Lt. Governor he sponsored a benefit for the Guardian Angels at a disco on the Upper East Side. I interviewed Cuomo briefly and the next time I saw him he addressed me as "Mr. Kalish." I was not a regular in the Albany press corps.

    I covered a demonstration outside of Bill Kunstler's apt. in Greenwich Village by and some Guardian Angels. Sliwa climbed the brownstone stairs and knocked on Kunstler's door. It opened & Big Bill pulled Curtis inside and kissed him on the forehead.
