I got MoviePass for Christmas, and I've seen about $150 of movies on it, so the gift was worthwhile, but the amount of entertainment I've gotten following their insane and terrible business model - essentially "let's lose a fortune for no reason" - is priceless.

Movie pass took a bunch of rich guys for a ride, movie pass made mistakes which led to amc bringing in competition and now amc has a pretty good program that fixed everything wrong with moviepass. Its a win win

The funniest thing to me is how irate their customers become over the tiniest glitch or inconvenience. It was an absurd experiment from the beginning and they expected it to run like a normal business.
